I was born in Toronto, Canada, on August 2nd, 1995. I got my first computer at the age of seven and was absolutely obsessed with it. I would study the internal components by taking my computers apart and rebuilding them.
This led me to develop an interest in programming in late 2007 and early 2008, at the age of thirteen. I studied various programming concepts related to game development and exploitation, learning protocols, data structures, and theory on my own. After a couple of years of tinkering with languages like C, C++, and Java, I got into web development, learning PHP and MySQL for the back end and HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for the front end. I started my own freelance business at the age of sixteen, developing a wide range of websites and applications for clients ranging from property owners to law firms, using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, Svelte, jQuery, Node.js, Go, and more.
As my curiosity grew, I explored various career paths, but during that time I continued to study and work on tech-related projects, always keeping up with the latest trends and language features.
My favorite programming languages are C and Go. I have always loved being innovative, creating and building things, whether it is high-rise buildings and houses as a carpenter, landscape designs as a hardscaper, sounds for a song as a producer, or software and applications as a software engineer. I approach everything with genuine passion and childlike curiosity, and I pursue my goals with a drive that can seem a bit wild to others.
Lately, for the past few years, I have been researching, writing, and open-sourcing a variety of databases and storage engines designed from first principles, tearing apart existing implementations, finding what does not work, and optimizing for the future.
